I began writing my blog back in December 2018, where I just wanted to have a space where I could just write. I don’t really have a BURNING DESIRE to write, like some people I read who are out there writing some amazing stuff, but I do really enjoy creating things. I have created thousands of websites and blogs prior to this one, varying from being 10 years old and writing about Club Penguin to me, aged 14, talking absolute crap about anything I wanted to speak about.
I really enjoy creating, and just generally having the freedom to express what I want. However, honestly, if it wasn’t for me ‘joining’ the community over on Twitter I probably wouldn’t have remained this consistent. I enjoy writing, but I enjoy talking to others about their blogs, my blog and just having the opportunity to tweet, ‘GOOD MORNING!’ every day and having people say it back.
If it was about the numbers BOY would I be long gone, however, I have slowly learnt my motivation has come from knowing that a group of specific bloggers will come back and read my
So, I would like to take this opportunity to write my response to the 3 blogger awards that I have been nominated for this week! I will be taking a slightly different approach to them, but I do want to take this opportunity to thank the 2 lovely people who nominated me.
You, Me and Benny nominated me for the Mystery Blogger Award and the Liebster Award. I would like to thank you and I also hope you had a fantastic birthday last week! If you haven’t been over and checked out her blog already, I highly recommend it. Whilst you may get lost at looking at the photos and videos of her 2 dogs, she puts out amazing content that is always enjoyable to read!
Chloe nominated me for the Blogger Recognition Award. Chloe posts over on her blog, Writing the Blues Away, and is one of people I was talking about when I mentioned those who have a passion for writing, and you know it. Take some time to get and check out some of her posts, I recommend her Short Story Series! 🙂
Now, I have 3 nominations on my hand, and I am like 500 words in and haven’t mentioned a single thing about them! I will make sure I include where to find the rules to all 3 at the bottom of this post, but first I have 11 questions to answer from the Liebster award!
1: What is one thing you do during the day that you wouldn’t be able to go a day without doing?
Trying my best to not be a smart ass and say ‘drinking’ or ‘eating’, I would say movement. I do have many the days that, by the end, my Fitbit is telling me I have barely moved 1000 steps. However, the option is still there and just being able to move around, exercise and just have a bit of a stretch is important to me.
2: Who is your favourite Actor/Actress?
I have literally no idea.
Okay, so I have just spent 5 minutes sitting here trying to think of just one. I can’t. I have scanned down the rest of the questions and I think this is going to become a common theme. DAMN YOUR HARD QUESTIONS!
OKAY SO I HAVE JUST COME BACK TO THIS QUESTION AND I STILL CAN’T ANSWER. It’s tearing my life apart.
You know what, I don’t have one. That’s all you’re going to get from me – I’m not sorry.
3: If you could only sing one song for the rest of your life what would it be?
PUSHED IT. SHOVED IT. EVEN TOOK THE WHEELS OFF. WE WERE GETTING NOWHERE. SO, WE HAD A CUPPA TEA!
4: If you were granted 3 wishes by a genie what would they be?
I am currently watching Game of Thrones (DO NOT SPOIL IT FOR ME) and (incoming SPOILER from me lol) I feel like Arya, except my 3 wishes won’t be for death.
I would probably wish for good health for my family members; (yes you can be included too Jack) financial freedom for my family and for Marvel to keep making Avengers films with all the same actors.
5: Do you have a favourite number? If so, what is it and why?
I have 5 favourites: 28, 26, 15, 9 and 8. There is no creative reason why but I do love my family a lot so there are their birthdays.
6: What’s one thing we would be surprised to know about you?
I passed my driving test when I was 17 and have been driving since. I don’t mind doing it but it costs SO MUCH MONEY. It’s such a drainer and I don’t live driving into built up places. As soon as I don’t live in the middle of nowhere and can ditch having to drive everywhere – I will.
7: Are you an only child or do you have siblings?
I have one younger brother who is about 1 and a half years younger than me. He doesn’t read my blog, but if one day he does – I have more clout than you HA.
8: What’s your favourite colour?
9: What are your top 3 favourite books of all time?
This is a silly question, how on earth does one choose 3 favourite books? I don’t feel comfortable putting that statement out there because I 100% know I will think of a different one later and will have to come back to change it. So no answer to this one either – sorry!
10: If you could have one superpower what would it be?
My superpower would be to have all superpowers…? I recently went and saw Captain Marvel and she looks like an absolute BOSS. Although I wouldn’t want to be her character. I feel like having the superpower to heal people would be nice but then I would be meddling with the world and would have to decide who lives and who dies. Not a great time, so I will go with flying lol.
11: Do you have any pets? If so, what are they?
I have a
God that was much more stressful that I thought it was going to be.
Those 11 questions, for the Liebster award, also includes 3 things about me, for the Mystery Blogger Award, AND the introduction to this post included why I started blogging, for the Blogger Recognition Award! I just need to write 2 pieces of advice for new bloggers, which are:
You honestly don’t need anything fancy, just sit down and share your thoughts. You don’t need to be an expert on SEO, you don’t need to have the perfect blog colour scheme and you don’t need to start stressing about numbers.
It’s not worth it and these things will come over time. It’s not some sort of competition and don’t feel intimidated by the ‘big’ bloggers out there. They were once in your position. There will always be something you don’t know about
and therewill always be that extra something you could do. Just enjoy it, be creative and have fun! 🙂
Now I am supposed to write 5/11 questions for my people I nominate to answer, but honestly, I really don’t want to. Instead, I want you to write a post about 3 things that made you happy this week. Could be that you sliced a bloody perfect slice of bread this morning at breakfast or that you stopped yourself falling over. Just 3 things that made you happy!
Last time I did a nomination post, I nominated people. However, I feel like I would just be repeating myself because I would just nominate the same people again. So, if you are reading this then feel free to call yourself nominated. Write a post, don’t write a post. Do what you want!
I am thankful to those bloggers who come back and read my posts, so I imagine that if you are reading this now that you are one of the people I would have nominated.
As I said before, I shall leave a link to the rules to the 3 awards below in case you do want to take part in one of them.
Thank you for taking the time to read this lil’ post (that is actually quite long) of mine and I hope you have an amazing week!
Until next time my friends!
