Starting your 2020 New Year Resolutions NOW!


BUT, you may be finding yourself living in the shadow of the New Year. Each year many people hold off on starting something new. They use the excuse of waiting until the New Year starts. (I nearly did the same thing with this post tbh.)

SO – this is THE post to tell you to FORGET THAT and to start your 2020 New Year Resolutions NOW!

You are more likely to keep SMASHING your (SMART) goals if you start before January 1st. You can begin the New Year with that feel good feeling, knowing you are strong and AWESOME.

Here are some tips for starting your 2020 New Year Resolutions NOW!

1) I know you’re feeling lathergic but COME ON

Let’s be real – I have to tell myself this one constantly throughout the year, not just December. BUT, it doesn’t make it any less important. Breaks are good for your mind, body and soul but sometimes we find ourselves just being lazy. Sometimes, all it takes is a lil’ pep talk along the lines of, ‘COME ON BRO GET YO ACT TOGETHER!’.

2) Work out wtf you wanna do

This tip ensures you aren’t mindlessly floating through into the New Year. (Whether drunk or sober) Setting yourself some SMART goals (I wrote a post on how to do that HERE) allows you to organise your thoughts. This means you can start working out how you are going to SMASH them!

Whether it be decreasing your meat consumption (maybe think about trying Veganuary), learning a skill or saving up those dolla bills – WRITE IT DOWN!

3) You will get a head start on that bandwagon

There won’t be no joining the bandwagon come January 1st – you will be LEADING it! You are also less likely to fall of it so it is a win-win situation. It can take 60 days to form a habit so by starting now you can almost guarantee that you will keep SMASHING your goals come February.

On that note, I am going to go write down what I want to achieve before 2021 and you better know I will be SMASHING it come 2020.

    I love the spirit in this post – so much energy:) December is a hard one. 3 different people told they feel just what you wrote – lethargic. Getting out of bed or out of the cozy home is getting harder the faster those temperatures drop:) But you are so right, staying ahead of the game is so important – so here is to a year filled with achieving goals. Happy new year Millie thanks for all the motivation.
