How To Have an AMAZING 19th Birthday!
As you may have been able to tell over on my Twitter or Instagram, (as if I managed to plug myself in the first sentence HA) this past weekend was my 19th birthday!
I was, and still am, quite excited to leave 18 behind and I have many exciting ideas for my 19th year. I have a few potential projects I want to
So, I hope you enjoy this little insight into what I got up to. 🙂
Presents!
I feel like I did really well this year. I’m that person that everyone apparently thinks is ‘very hard to buy for’ and I also refuse to ask for anything. Basically, I LOVE surprises. (As you may already know if you read my recent Vogue 73 Questions Tag…)

Most of my presents came from Jack and he did SO WELL! He managed to get me a present from every aspect of my personality and if you could sum me up in presents – this would be it!
(I do also want to preface that Jack has also promised to buy me the upcoming Animal Crossing game on Switch so overall life is going great.)
So, in no specific order, here are the presents I recieved from Jack!
- 20 bars of Bourneville chocolate
- 5 pairs of Cat socks (they have EARS!)
- A US Office Dunder Mifflin Mug
- A Serena Van Der Woodsen POP! Figure
- A Thanos POP! Figure
- A quote heart decoration
- Sherlock Holmes Detective Game
- Homer Simpson Slippers
- AND A CAMERA!!
I am SO grateful and he has obviously paid attention to my weird obsessions haha! My parents got me a bunch of beautiful floweres and an Adidas cropped lilac, black and white hoodie which I LOVE. My brother got me a HUGE Marvel encyclopedia (I know omg) and I received two vouchers from Jack’s family and my old job friends!

Friday 28th June – Birthday Activities
Friday was my actual birthday which saw Jack and I waking up at 5:30 am and opening my presents – oops! We started off our day like we would any other, with a good old Soya yoghurt and fruit breakfast. My parents were busy on Friday which meant I didn’t think I would have a birthday cake.

It was an awful experience and I was actually surprised when the brownie came out edible. Overall it was a lovely idea but I think I will leave next year’s cake for my Mum…
I also want to say a HUGE thank you to Emily a.k.a Tortimer for my birthday card!

Saturday 29th June – Random Birthday Activities
Saturday was a random day. We started it off by going on a short

Jack and I then spent most of Saturday playing the new Sherlock Holmes Detective Game he bought us. It is fun to be challenged but we spent THREE HOURS and still haven’t yet finished Case One! I am already a huge fan of this game, which has been heavily thought out. Whilst it is quite expensive, if you are looking for a cooperative board game then I would go check it out.
Sunday 30th June – Birthday Activities – XSCAPE!
As I mentioned earlier, I LOVE SURPRISES! Sunday morning began with me driving down the A1 having absolutely no idea where Jack was directing me. As I got closer I saw the signs for XScape! I couldn’t fully appreciate the excitement as I was basically wetting myself but after I was SO EXCITED!
We spent the entire day doing all the different activities, eating a ton of food and just having an amazing time. Activities ranged from mini-golf, VR experiences, an hour at the trampoline park and free falls!
I don’t know how to express how grateful I am to Jack for organising such a lovely weekend for us both and for all my surprises!
Overview of 18
Thought it would be nice to finish this post off with a short overview of my 18th year. Whilst it feels like I didn’t do very much, a lot happened and a LOT changed. I took my A-Level exams and achieved an amazing History grade. I applied for my highly competitive apprenticeship and was successful. I now work full-time with brand new opportunities. I STARTED THIS BLOG and have met so many wonderful people.
I have ideas and goals in mind to make the age of 19 the best yet and I cannot wait to share my plans with you. Thank you so much for sticking by me into 19 and…
Until next time my friends!
-Millie 🙂

THANKS CHLOEEEEE!! It was really fun until Jack and I started disagreeing and then we definitely knew it was time for a break! XScape is actually really cool and I think they may have other locations around the country?

Oh my goodness, I hate surprises and this still looks like the most amazing birthday ever – I’m so pleased you had a nice time, and that you have such brilliant, thoughtful people around you. I also love the photo at the top of this post – it’s ADORABLE and possibly the greatest photo I have ever seen used in a blog post.
